Below are two highly-rated photography tours that take you to many of my top-rated destinations on the Lofoten Islands. They look amazing. It’s nice to support small local businesses, too. Check them out.

Ramberg
Exploring Ramberg and Ramberg Beach, also known as the Arctic Copacabana for its white sand and crystal-clear waters, is an absolute must for avid photographers.
With rugged mountains rising majestically in the background, every angle offers a new perspective.
The area is also rich in wildlife; keep your camera ready for glimpses of seabirds nesting on rocky outcrops or seals lounging along the shorelines.
02 —
Sakrisøy
Nestled between dramatic peaks and the shimmering waters of the fjords, this picturesque fishing village boasts iconic red rorbu cabins and wooden fishing racks that create striking contrasts against the rugged mountainous backdrop.
03 —
Flakstad Church
Flakstad Church is a must-visit destination for photography enthusiasts seeking to capture the breathtaking interplay of nature and architecture.
This historic wooden church, built in 1780, is one of the oldest churches in the Lofoten Islands and features a Russian architectural style.
During winter, the church can be framed against snow-capped peaks under an aurora borealis sky—so stunning that you won't believe your eyes.

Reine & Reinebringen
Reine
Reine is one of the most famous villages in the Lofoten Islands, and it’s easy to see why. Nestled between towering mountains and the serene Reinefjord, this quaint village is characterized by its traditional red and white rorbuer (fishermen’s cabins) that dot the landscape. Reine also serves as a gateway to explore the myriad of islands that make up Lofoten.
Reinebringen
Thanks to its convenient location near Reine and frequent appearances on instagram, Reinebringen has become one of the most sought-after locations on Lofoten to visit and photograph. It may not be the tallest mountain on the Lofoten Islands, but its summit offers an iconic view that more than compensates for its moderate altitude.
05 —
Storsandnes Beach
Storsandnes Beach is a breathtaking stretch of golden sands framed by dramatic mountains and crystal-clear waters. The unique geography allows for fascinating tidal changes; during low tide, expansive tidal flats reveal stunning scenery for photographers.
06 —
Eggum Fishing Village
Eggum is an old, traditional village in a remote location surrounded by wild nature. The nearby hiking trails offer panoramic views, and beaches boast soft sand and crystal-clear water. It’s truly a fantastic place to photograph.
07 —
Nusfjord Village
Half a century ago, Nusfjord was a thriving fishing village. Now, it has transformed into a museum-like village inhabited by less than 100 people. Once a popular destination for cruise ships, this remote and now largely deserted island is freaking amazing.
08 —
Hamnøy Village
Hamnøy, the quintessential village of Norway's Lofoten Islands, boasts charming red cottages against a majestic rocky mountain. Its natural beauty and atmosphere are simply impossible to ignore. In the past, Hamnøy was accessible via ferry from Reine, but this has now been replaced by bridges on the European E10 highway.
09 —
Munkebu Hut
Munkebu hut is among the most popular and beautiful hikes on the Lofoten Islands. You’ll see untouched nature and epic views all the way up. The hut lies 800 meters above sea level and the hiking trail is 5.5 km. The main trail to Munken is located in Sørvågen village on Moskenesøy, a few kilometers before the end of the E10 in Å.

Gimsøystraumen
This strait, known for its dramatic fjords and rugged mountains, creates a stunning backdrop that changes with the light throughout the day. Photograph at the narrowest point where the currents of the Atlantic Ocean and the Vestfjord create mesmerizing eddies.
11 —
Henningsvær
Situated on multiple small islands near the southern shore of Austvågøya, Henningsvær is yet again another quaint fishing village — but with a difference. It features a spectacularly placed football (soccer) field and has garnered worldwide recognition thanks to being featured in UEFA (European Football Organization) advertising. It’s definitely worth a snapshot or two!
